Being in the public eye can be very demanding. Celebrities have cameras on them 24/7 and the pressure to look the best they can be is certainly there. Admittedly, there are quite a few celebrities that are a bit on the curvy side, but the booming Hollywood industry of dieticians and personal trainers, not to mention cosmetic surgeons, puts additional pressure on looking good. Of course, sometimes people can't control their bodies; pregnancies and movie roles can make people put on the pounds. However, celebrities have proven that, with a little work and determination, a trim and svelte figure is always within reach.
Here are a few celebrities that have managed to get themselves down to fighting shape:
Oprah – the queen of talk shows has had noticeable body changes over the years. Her weight has gone up and down because of her thyroid condition; however over the last couple of years, she's managed to get herself to fit weight of 160 pounds with diets and exercise.
Jennifer Hudson – This singer and actress had a baby in 2009 and still had the baby weight when she signed up for the movie role of Winnie Mandela. The celebrity started working out with a personal trainer and signed up with the Weight Watchers program. By the end of it, she was the spokesperson for Weight Watchers and trimmed down from a size 16 dress size to a size 6.
Charlize Theron – The blonde bombshell was completely unrecognizable as a prostitute and serial killer in her 2003 movie, Monster. Who knew that putting on 30 pounds could do that to a celebrity? However, she had managed to shed that all off even before the movie's premiere.
Seth Rogen – The celebrity funny man has always been known for being the bumbling overweight guy. However, with the help of personal trainers, he has managed to slim down by 30 pounds in a matter of nine months.
Dramatic weight changes maybe the norm for celebrities but diets are certainly a one-size-fits-all solution and while these weight-loss success stories can inspire you to shed a few pounds, be sure to check in with your physician before trying any diet or weight loss program.
